1.    Arthur Lee Cleveland James:  born April 16, 1886 in Rock Creek, Colbert County, Alabama; married to Donna Vessels (1889-1961), daughter of William F. Vessels (1855-1928) and Louise Vessels (1855-1925); died April 21, 1949 (aged 63) in Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama; buried at Florence Cemetery in Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama; known children include: Marie James (1912-1929) and Allene James (1920-1939).

 

2.    Nora “Myrtle” Hessenine James:  born May 12, 1887 in Rock Creek, Colbert County, Alabama; died October 28, 1903 (aged 16); buried at Florence Cemetery, in Pauper's Corner in Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama.

 

3.    George Elmer D. James:  born 1889 in Rock Creek, Colbert County, Alabama; died 1889 (aged -1) in Rock Creek, Colbert County, Alabama; buried at Rock Creek Cemetery in Colbert County, Alabama.

 

4.    Eugene Berdine James:  born July 29, 1890 in Lauderdale County, Alabama; married to Waymon Pearl Ray (1898–1988), daughter of Noah Lee Ray (1878-1948) and Frances Leona Haddock (1882-1919); died February 28, 1952 (aged 61) in Lauderdale County, Alabama; buried at Florence Cemetery in Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama; known children include: Buford James (1915-1916), Eunice L. James Swinnea (1916-1972) and Joseph Carl James (1921-1942).

 

5.    Cynthia Eruby Fannie Bell James:  born November 3, 1891 in Rock Creek, Colbert County, Alabama; married October 10, 1907 in Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama to Louis Dewitt Coburn (1889-1953); died July 6,1965 (aged 73) in Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama; buried at Florence City Cemetery, Plot B1-03 in Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama; known children include: Ella Lucille Coburn, Marshall Reece Coburn, Mattie Loraine Coburn, Ralph Dewitt Coburn, Lillian “Lillie” Mae Coburn, Cynthia Aurelia Coburn, James Simpson Coburn and Louis Jackson Coburn.

 

6.    Lillie Pearl James:  born August 31, 1893 in Rock Creek, Colbert County, Alabama; died February 3, 1970 (aged 76) in Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama; buried at Florence Cemetery in Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama; Twin of Willie Earl James.

 

7.    Willie Earl James:  born August 31, 1893 in Rock Creek, Colbert County, Alabama; married in 1911 to Oscar Lee Watson (1893-1972); died May 21, 1915 (aged 21); buried at Florence Cemetery in Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama; known children include: Edward Rudolph James (December 24, 1913 - October 27, 1916)

 

8.    Elias Hugh Jackson James:  born September 4, 1895 in Rock Creek, Colbert County, Alabama; married to Media M. Easley (1899-1980), daughter of Lemuel Newson Easley (1867-1936) and Sarah Thompson (1877-1934); died November 26, 1956 (aged 61); buried at Florence Cemetery in Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama; known children include: Carlos Reeder James (1919-2003), Christine Cleo James Harbin (1922-1978), Raymond Jackson James (1925-2018) and Tommie James Fraley (1929-2007).

 

9.    Jennie Beulah James:  born September 4, 1895 in Rock Creek, Colbert County, Alabama; died September 1895 (aged -1) in Rock Creek, Colbert County, Alabama; buried at Rock Creek Cemetery in Colbert County, Alabama; Twin of Elias Hugh Jackson James.

 

10.  Edward Newman James:  born October 24, 1901 in Rock Creek, Colbert County, Alabama; married April 1, 1923 in Colbert County, Alabama to Ira Belle Denton (1902-2001) daughter of Hiram Denton (1862-1930) and Emily Josephine Hill (1867-1945); died December 28, 1982 (aged 81); buried at Rock Creek Cemetery in Colbert County, Alabama; known children include: Jesse Clopton James, Vera Viola James, Malcolm Wallace James, Bryson Lemoine James, Edward Ira James and Graham Farris James.
