1.    Dora Lucille “Lucy” James: born January 1, 1893 in Franklin County, Alabama; married February 22, 1910 in Pleasant Site, Franklin County, Alabama to Curgus Earnie Malone (1891-1954) son of Amos Monroe Malone and Mary Modena Ramsey; died May 13, 1965 (aged 72) in Tupelo, Lee County, Mississippi; buried at Lindsey Cemetery in Dennis, Tishomingo County, Mississippi; known children include: Clara Lenorah Malone, Geraldine Blanch Malone, Virginia Modena Malone, Thomas Virgil Malone, Bruce Elree Malone, Minnie Lorene Malone, Amos Malone, Luis Monroe Malone, Reece Waldrep Malone, Preston Nyal Malone, Dexter Mae Malone, Vester Wayne Malone, Virgie Wynona Malone and Rachel James Malone.

 

2.    Minnie “Floy” James: born June 10, 1896 in Pogo, Franklin County, Alabama; married October 10, 1915 to Robert Bruce Gardner (1887-1965) son of R.B. Gardner and Nancy Gardner; died December 17, 1973 (aged 77) in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee; buried at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee; known children include: Caddie Louise Gardner, Nannie Bernice Gardner, Jennie Maude Gardner, Hazel Gardner and Shirly Gardner.

 

3.    Laura “Rayma” James: born January 3, 1899 in Pleasant Site, Franklin County, Alabama; died September 9, 1914 (aged 15) in Pogo, Franklin County, Alabama; buried at James Cemetery in Franklin County, Alabama; no known children.

 

4.    Daisy Alice James: born March 18, 1901 in Pleasant Site, Franklin County, Alabama; first marriage to Walter Bruton; second marriage to Lloyd Wilson James (1901-1947) son of Elias Wilson James and Lula B. Thomas; third marriage to Carl T. Brown (1903-1993); died April 8, 1968 (aged 67) in Iuka, Tishomingo County, Mississippi; buried at Belmont City Cemetery in Belmont, Tishomingo County, Mississippi; known children include: Lula Burton James, Aaron Dillard James and Katherine James.

 

5.    Aaron John “Jesse” James: born July 5, 1908 in Pleasant Site, Franklin County, Alabama; married to Jennie Mai James (1888-1976); died November 4, 1989 (aged 81) in Shelby County, Tennessee; buried at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee; no known children.

 

6.    Lawrence “Shorty” Hilryte James: born June 8, 1911 in Pogo, Franklin County, Alabama; married March 6, 1934 in Corinth, Mississippi to Jamie Irene Johnson (1912-1993); died February 1, 1963 (aged 51) in Verona, Lee County, Mississippi due to an accidental discharge of his shotgun; buried at Lee Memorial Park in Verona, Lee County, Mississippi; known children include: Patricia James.

 

7.    Wilson Elias “Witt” James:  born March 19, 1914 in Pleasant Site, Franklin County, Alabama; married to Violet A. Adams (1913-1980), daughter of John Woods Adams and Vesta Vinson; died January 18, 1988 (aged 73) in Anniston, Calhoun County, Alabama; buried at Forestlawn Gardens and Mausoleum in Anniston, Calhoun County, Alabama; no known children.
